I studied Fine arts at National Art school, Meadowbank TAFE, Sydney Art School formally as well as at several other various institutes informally over the years.
I draw much of my ideas and inspirations for my artworks from my rich Greek cultural heritage, ancestry and background.
As you can see from my work, Greek art, is one of the main subject matters, imagery and themes I am mostly inspired and interested in applying and using as subject matter in and for my art works, in particularly portraying imagery of the Ancient Olympic games as well as Greek Mythological themes I include as subject matter for many of my artworks.
My influences for my work include The Renaissance, Impressionist, Expressionists, Modernists, Post Modernist artists, movements and styles from these periods and some abstract and contemporary styles of art as well I am inspired by.
The other fifty percent of my artwork is inspired and drawn from the beautiful and iconic city of Sydney itself where I live and work and have spent most of my life up until now. In fact a very large portion of my career as an artist has also been greatly inspired by the iconic city of Sydney; it’s surrounding bush and parklands, spectacular harbor, its many stunning beaches are also some featured subject matter I have chosen to paint in many of my landscape paintings I have painted over the years.
I trust you have been inspired and enjoyed looking at my art works.
